Dear Students,

I am pleased to welcome you to the Analytical Methods in Corporate Finance course.

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of the core analytical tools used in corporate finance and valuation. It focuses on the foundational principles of investment decisions, capital structure, and dividend policy, while equipping you with rigorous quantitative frameworks for firm valuation. You will learn to build integrated financial models, estimate free cash flows, calculate the weighted average cost of capital (WACC), determine terminal value, and apply advanced techniques such as sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and leveraged buyout (LBO) modeling. The course also explores capital structure theory, dividend policy, mergers and acquisitions, and the critical role of corporate governance in value creation.

Your active engagement is essential to mastering these analytical techniques. You are expected to participate in discussions, complete the practical Excel-based modeling exercises, and submit all assignments by the stipulated deadlines.

My name is Mr. Aktofel Kadhikwa, and I will be your lecturer for this module. Should you have any questions or require academic support, please do not hesitate to contact me:
