The Certificate in English and Communication was first introduced in September 2022 and is offered 100% online which supported by e-learning (via Moodle) and remote learning (via Teams Live Classes). All Classes are administered within Moodle where students find links for live classes which is linked to their individual Microsoft email. All Students require their Welwitchia email (student@welwitchia.com.na) to access Moodle , Teams and any other Services offered by Welwitchia.

The table below represents the General Guideline for Teaching and Learning Time per module (10 hours per credit) for the programme as follows; - 

  • An academic week shall comprise of five days between Monday to Friday which constitute a four (4) week month with 20 days of teaching and learning. The following progression rules shall apply for each module: -
  • Every module shall run for four (4) weeks and shall consists of 40 hours (4 credits) directed towards lectures, seminars, tutorials, and workshops. 
  • Real Time Online Lectures shall be conducted between Monday to Friday from 19:00 to 21:00 Central African Time (CAT) GMT +2. Lectures shall not be compulsory to students. 
  • Every lecture shall be recorded for the benefit of all students and shall be available for the duration of the module cycle. 

The weekly lecture schedule shall be as follows.

 Every lecture shall consist of two (2) hours and four lectures shall be held during the week with a total of 10 hours of contact time per week and 40 hours for the entire module.
